Please take action by signing a few of the petitions linked here! Descriptions of just a few a petitions are below!

End Wildlife Killing Contests in B.C.

"Wildlife killing contests legally take place in British Columbia every year. During these contests, animals are senselessly killed to accumulate points towards winning cash and/or prizes. These animals are killed indiscriminately, without any regard for their suffering.

Allowing wildlife killing contests to continue is a clear rejection of the values held by the vast majority of British Columbians. Many U.S. states, including California and Washington, have already outlawed these shameful attacks on wildlife.

As a province that prides itself on its native wildlife and conservation leadership, it is shocking that BC continues to allow these cruel and unscientific contests" (Humane Society).

End Canada’s Role in the Cruel Elephant Ivory Trade

"Every year, at least 20,000 African elephants are poached for their ivory. Often, they die in agony after being poisoned, shot or otherwise beaten. Their tusks are hacked off and sold for profit, often through international crime syndicates.

Surprisingly, the elephant ivory trade — including the import of elephant ivory from cruel trophy hunts — is still legal in Canada. As a nation that positions itself as a global leader in conservation, Canada has an important opportunity to act now to conserve elephants, help African nations protect biodiversity and end its support of cruel and criminal practices" (Humane Society).
